Scott J. Link, a founding partner of Ackerman, Link & Sartory, practices in the areas of securities arbitration, complex business litigation, class actions and professional malpractice. Previously, he was an equity partner with the 140‑lawyer firm of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. During his 10‑year association with Gunster Yoakley, he was appointed co‑chair of that firm's securities litigation practice group.
Scott is Board Certified in Business Litigation and has received the 'AV' rating from the Martindale‑Hubbell Law Directory. He is a member of the American Bar Association; United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; United States District Court, Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida; United States District Court, Southern District of Florida Trial Bar; the Florida and Palm Beach County Bars and the ABA Section of Litigation Committee on Securities Litigation.
Scott was appointed to and served a three-year term on the NASD's National Arbitration and Mediation Committee. He is often quoted on securities litigation in The Wall Street Journal, The Palm Beach Post and the Daily Business Review. He speaks and authors articles on securities litigation, lectures on professional liability and malpractice, and participates in training sessions for the NASD and the State of Florida/Division of Banking and Securities.
Scott has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2003 and is a Bet-the-Company Litigator. Additionally, he has been named one of the Top Lawyers in South Florida as designated by the South Florida Legal Guide every year beginning in 2003 for business litigation.
