Thomas R. Grady, Of Counsel to Ackerman, Link & Sartory, practices in the Naples office of ALS in the areas of securities fraud, class actions and complex commercial litigation.
Tom has received the 'AV' rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law
Directory. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of
Florida, the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the
Eleventh, Second, Fourth, Sixth and Seventh Circuits and in the U.S.
District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Eastern
District of Michigan. In addition, he has been admitted to practice
before numerous additional courts on a pro hac vice basis and is a
member of the Florida Bar, the Collier County Bar Association and the
Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association.

Tom is active in regulatory and professional activities and is a Public
Member Emeritus for the Securities Industry Conference on Arbitration
(SICA); Former Member, American Arbitration Association Securities
Industry Advisory Committee; former Member, Advisory Committee to the
North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Disclosure
Reform Committee; Instructor, AAA, NYSE, ASE, NASD Arbitrator Training
Programs; Course Instructor, Joint Florida Division of Securities and
NASAA Broker Dealer Training Sessions; Panelist for various Practicing
Law Institute, ABA, CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution, Florida
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Society of Professionals in
Dispute Resolution (SPIDR), Florida Department of Banking and Finance
and other similar organizations. In addition, he serves as an arbitrator
for the American Arbitration Association, the U.S. District Court,
Middle District of Florida, the NASD and the NYSE. Tom is certified as a
Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court and is also an approved Mediator
for the NASD.
Tom is also active in local events in Collier County and for several
years served as the Co-Chair for the Governor’s Family Literacy
Initiative Celebration of Reading and was the past Chairman for the
Youth Development Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to
advancing education. An alumnus of the 1990 class of Leadership Collier,
Tom thereafter served on the Boards of the Collier County Education
Foundation and Collier’s Reserve. He currently devotes time to the Boy
Scouts of America, Southwest Florida Council; Project Innovation for the
Economic Development Council of Collier County; and Safe Florida
Foundation, Inc.
In 2008, Tom was elected to the Florida House of Representatives,
representing a portion of Collier County. He is a Member of several
Committees including Civil Justice & Court Policy; Economic Development
Policy; and State and Community Colleges and Workforce Policy. He is
also a Member of the Finance and Tax Council and continues as a member
of the Republican Party of Florida’s Statewide Finance Team. Tom remains
very active in community affairs, serving on Governor Crist’s and
Attorney General Bill McCollum’s Transitions Teams in 2006-7.
